The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates) is excited to announce that John D. Deese, President and CEO of Guardians Credit Union in West Palm Beach, Florida, has won the 2021 Distinguished Service Award. The Distinguished Service award recognizes lifelong service to the credit union movement reaching beyond the natural person credit union.
On Thursday, June 16, 2022, LSCU & Affiliates presented its annual LSCU Awards at the 2022 Southeastern Credit Union Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida. This awards ceremony recognizes credit unions and credit union professionals who have demonstrated exemplary service and accomplished significant achievements in 2021.
“Mr. Deese is a prime example of a servant leader, and we have no doubt he is beyond worthy and deserving of this special recognition,” said Patrick La Pine, CEO of LSCU & Affiliates. “LSCU and our member credit unions thank and honor Mr. Deese for his amazing and inspiring 44 years of service to our movement at the local, state, and federal level.”
