Security Plus FCU members approved a merger with Service One Credit Union at a special meeting on June 24. Security Plus will become a branch of Service One once the merger receives regulatory approval.
This will give members access to a variety of products and services, including checking accounts with added-value services, high-interest CDs, debit cards and credit cards, online and mobile banking, and a network of over 40,000 free ATMs nationwide. Additionally, access to loans for personal, auto, home improvement, and mortgages will now be available.
“We are very excited to expand into Russellville,” said Rebecca Stone, President/CEO of Service One. “We plan to move the branch from its current location to one that is accessible to the entire community and open our membership to all residents of Russellville and the surrounding area,” Stone added.
Service One was organized in Bowling Green, KY in 1963. With three branches in Bowling Green and one in Glasgow, Service One continues to grow its membership and expand into other Kentucky markets while investing in the best technology and products to serve its members. On Aug. 1, Service One will finalize a merger with MidWest America FCU and operate branches in Scottsville and Hopkinsville.
