Titusville welcomes new Launch CU branch

Launch Credit Union opened its 2nd branch in Titusville on July 8, located at 90 South Singleton Ave.  Titusville Mayor Dan Diesel, several Launch board members, CEO Joe Mirachi, and the Titusville Area and Cocoa Beach Regional Chambers of Commerce helped cut the ribbon making it official.

“We saw the need to expand in the Titusville and Mims area, with more than 11,000 members already and growing,” says Kelly Haskins, VP of Marketing.  “Our long time members shared their excitement on grand opening day, happy to have a branch on the north west side of Titusville, closer to their homes.  We also welcomed 60 new members on grand opening day.  People have come to know Launch as a strong, longstanding part of the community and we exist to help our members reach their financial goals.”

The original Titusville branch is located at 3950 U.S. 1 in Titusville.  It has been serving members since 1991.  “I am so excited to open this 2nd branch in Titusville,” says Stephanie Baker, Branch Manager of the new Titusville-Singleton branch, who grew up in Titusville.  “I’m raising my family here, and I am happy to give back to the community.  My goal is to help other families here in Titusville and Mims to buy their first home, first car, or to help them get financially in a good place. In these tough economic times, people are looking for ways to make the most of their money.  The past few years our members have been refinancing their homes to Launch to save money, and now that their homes have built up equity, many members are coming to us to use that equity to improve their homes or for other big projects. Launch also recently increased its deposit rates, so now people are opening Certificates (CDs) and Money Market accounts to make the most of their money.”

“Launch is continually expanding and enhancing its financial products and services,” says Haskins.  “Launch recently upgraded its digital banking suite, has added merchant lending services, retirement and investment services, business, and commercial lending, and is always looking to improve and offer our members even more.  The more we grow, the better we can serve our members financial needs.”

As part of giving back to the community, during the Ribbon-Cutting celebration, Launch presented a donation to the Hummingbird Pantry in the amount of $1,963, which is the year that Launch Credit Union was established.  The Hummingbird Pantry in a non-profit organization is a Second Harvest Food Bank partner and assists the hungry and homeless in Brevard.  “Credit Unions have and always will be about people helping people,” says Haskins.  “We are proud to be able to contribute to our local communities.”
