American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) celebrated a successful month-long “Stuff the Bus” school supply drive by delivering all of the supplies collected by American Eagle branches, as well as $2,000 in total donations, to the United Way.
“We are always seeking ways to benefit our service area’s schools—so we were very pleased to partner with the United Way and conduct a school supply drive throughout August that provided needed materials for our local teachers and students,” said Howard Brady, President & CEO of American Eagle Financial Credit Union. “I want to thank all of our employees and members who generously contributed to this initiative and the United Way for their amazing work in our communities.”
In addition to the donation of school supplies, American Eagle provided $2,000 in total donations to the United Ways representing AEFCU’s service area:
- United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut
- United Way of Greater New Haven
- United Way of Pioneer Valley.
“United Way’s vision is a community where opportunities are available for every child to succeed in school and for every family to achieve financial security,” said Philip Blonski, Senior Manager, Community Engagement and Marketing at the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. “Thanks to the generous support of American Eagle Financial Credit Union, students in East Hartford Public Schools will be able to stay on track all year long and our in-school and after-school programs will be strengthened.”
