Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) raised $13,500 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) during our fundraiser in August. Donations were made by members transferring funds from their mobile/online banking accounts, from our PayPal site, and in our branches. For every dollar raised, LAFCU matched up to $5,000 through LAFCU’s charity, the Los Angeles Charitable Association. One hundred percent of donations will go to support “The Children’s Fund” at CHLA.
“The Children’s Fund” will help pay for:
- Family-centered care that treats the psycho-social needs of all patients and their families.
- Specialized pediatric care, including 100 subspecialties.
- Surgical excellence and innovation, including 17,000 complex surgeries performed on pediatric patients per year.
- Clinical pediatric research center devoted exclusively to children.
- Education and training of future pediatric specialists.
