For the eighteenth year, Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and HTC will choose two graduating high school seniors to win their annual Key Scholarships. High school seniors from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, and the southern part of Florence County planning to attend either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University are encouraged to apply.
“This scholarship demonstrates our support of local students and higher education,” said Carlton Lewis, HTC Chief Executive Officer and Carolina Trust Board of Directors Member. “Both HTC and Carolina Trust are dedicated to investing in the communities we serve, and this scholarship provides an excellent opportunity to support our youth.”
Due to the commitment of both organization to supporting our local communities and local universities, the amount of the scholarship will be increased this year to $5,000.
“We increased the amount of the scholarship because we realized the best way to make a difference in our community is to invest in education which pays dividends that last for generations,” said Tim Carlisle, Carolina Trust President/CEO.
Application packets have been distributed to high school guidance counselors and the scholarship opportunities are advertised on the Carolina Trust and HTC websites.
