Credit Union of Colorado named as Boys & Girls Clubs in Colorado’s Youth of the Year event title sponsor

The Boys & Girls Clubs in Colorado today announced that Credit Union of Colorado will be the title sponsor for this year’s Youth of the Year event, which will be held April 16, 2024, at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in Denver. The Youth of the Year Program recognizes extraordinary Club members statewide for their leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to being positive voices in their local communities.

Founded in 1934, Credit Union of Colorado is one of the largest credit unions in the state and is deeply connected to the communities where its members live and work. As a member-owned, not-for profit financial institution, the credit union supports the needs of more than 160,000 everyday Coloradans at 19 locations across the state. The credit union’s “here to help” culture is demonstrated by its strong support of local communities throughout Colorado.

“As an organization rooted in the success of Coloradans and our local communities, we are proud to support this inspiring event for Boys & Girls Clubs in Colorado that spotlights the future leaders of our state,” said Phil Smith, president of Credit Union of Colorado. “We are impressed by the leadership and community commitment of the Club members being honored. Colorado’s future is bright.”

“We appreciate the generous support of Credit Union of Colorado in making this a successful event,” said Kaycee Headrick, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs in Colorado. “Youth of the Year is our premier youth recognition program that gives young Club members an opportunity to share their story and vision for the future.”
