USF Federal Credit Union (USF FCU) is proud to announce its active participation in three major credit union industry events. Presentations at the World Credit Union Conference in Boston, the Ukrainian American Credit Union Association's Conference in Chicago and the CU Leadership Convention in Las Vegas showcased USF FCU's commitment to attracting younger members and deepening member loyalty.
The average age of credit union members nationwide is nearly 15 years older than the American average of 38.5. USF FCU, however, stands out with a more youthful membership, averaging 44 years old. This demographic advantage highlights USF FCU's successful efforts to connect with younger audiences, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all age groups.
"Our involvement in these conferences underscores our dedication to the credit union industry," said Richard "Rick" Skaggs, CEO of USF FCU and Board Chair for the League of Southeastern Credit Unions. "Sharing our strategies and experiences helps us and our peers enhance member engagement and loyalty, strengthening the credit union philosophy of 'people helping people.'"
USF FCU's participation provided valuable opportunities to exchange best practices with credit union professionals globally. These discussions are crucial for driving the industry's evolution and addressing challenges such as the aging membership demographic.
"Our mission is to be a supportive and influential financial partner in our members' lives," Skaggs added. "By engaging in these significant industry events, we contribute to the broader goal of advancing cooperative financial services and inspiring other credit unions to innovate and connect with younger members."
