As conference season heats up once again, I’m looking forward to attending Fintech Meetup for the first time. This year’s event takes place March 30 - April 1 in Las Vegas, bringing together fintech companies, financial institutions, investors, and technology providers at a time when partnership and collaboration continue to shape the future of financial services. It’s an event I’ve heard about consistently from CUInsight partners and others in the fintech space, and I’m interested to experience it firsthand.
The agenda covers topics that will sound familiar to anyone paying attention in the credit union space, including AI, digital banking, payments, and the realities of putting new technology into practice. The speaker lineup is impressive, with leaders from many well-known fintech and financial services firms set to share their perspectives.
For me, the CUInsight team and certainly the majority of our subscribers, the credit union perspective in those conversations is especially important. Credit unions have long been thoughtful adopters of technology, balancing innovation with their responsibility to serve members’ best interests. That perspective will be well represented on stage, beginning with NCUA Chairman Kyle Hauptman. Credit union leaders Benjamin Maxim, CTO at MSU Federal Credit Union, and Darius Wise, President and CEO at Red Rocks Credit Union, are also scheduled to speak. CUInsight partners will be part of the conversation as well, including Pankaj Kulshreshtha, CEO and Founder of Scienaptic, and Brian Kaas, SVP of Corporate Development at TruStage, both featured speakers. They’ll be joined by a strong group of CUInsight partners participating as sponsors, reflecting the important role these organizations play in supporting credit union innovation.
Credit unions continue to shape how fintech is applied within financial services. Some are early adopters or fast followers, while others take a more deliberate wait-and-see approach, but in every case, the focus is on using technology to strengthen service, improve efficiency, and deliver meaningful value to members.
Events like Fintech Meetup are one of the ways CUInsight continues to engage the financial services and fintech environment in new ways. As the leading digital source serving the credit union community, we remain focused on sharing best practices, innovation, news, and insight from across the industry. Whether the conversation is about advocacy, economics, technology, or member service, our goal is to help credit unions stay informed and ready for what’s ahead.
If you’ll be in Las Vegas for Fintech Meetup, I’d welcome the chance to connect. Feel free to send me an email or reach out on LinkedIn. I’m looking forward to the conversations and to sharing what stands out after the event.
