1st MidAmerica appoints new associate director to board
The 1st MidAmerica Credit Union Board of Directors has appointed Chris Greer as its new Associate Director.
BETHALTO, IL (September 5, 2013) — The 1st MidAmerica Credit Union Board of Directors has appointed Chris Greer as its new Associate Director.
Greer is a Chemical Engineer currently working for U.S. Water Services as a Sales Account Manager. Prior to joining U.S. Water Services, he worked for Ashland as an Account Manager for 6 years and Olin Corporation as a Utilities and Environmental Engineer for 9 years. He holds an MBA from Lindenwood University and currently serves as a board member for the Moro Public Water District.
“We are pleased to welcome Chris to our Board,” said Ted Klasner, 1st MidAmerica Chairman of the Board. “He is a talented professional who is passionate about contributing to his credit union and we look forward to bringing his skills to 1st MidAmerica.”
The new role of the Associate Director was developed at 1st MidAmerica so that the person will gain experience in preparation for becoming a full voting board member as opportunities to serve on the board arise. This non-voting position, appointed by the board, provides an opportunity for interested members to learn about the board process and gain an educational background on the internal policies and procedures of 1st MidAmerica. The Associate Director will attend board and committee meetings.
Greer grew up locally in Wood River and currently resides in Moro with his wife Kellie and their 6 year old son. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and CrossFit.
