2018 United Heritage Community Scholarship awarded

$5,000 Scholarship awarded to Central Texas student Brooke Kloesel

AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 27, 2018) — The United Heritage Community Scholarship Committee presented a $5,000 scholarship to Brooke Kloesel at the United Heritage Credit Union Member Appreciation event on April 7, 2018. The Shiner-area high school senior was selected based on her outstanding community service,extracurricular activities, academic performance and demonstrated commitment to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”

The Scholarship Committee considered a number of applications before selecting Ms. Kloesel as the 2018 United Heritage Community Scholarship recipient. “We are delighted to recognize Ms. Kloesel,” United Heritage Charity Foundation Chairman May Lofgreen said. “She epitomizes so many of the qualities valued by the Scholarship Committee and the Charity Foundation.”

The mission of the United Heritage Community Scholarship Committee is to help grow and support service oriented
young people with a strong focus on higher education. More than $105,000 in scholarships has been awarded and 26 scholarship recipients honored over the 18-year scholarship history.

The 2018 United Heritage Community Scholarship winner, Brooke Kloesel, receives her $5,000 check from the Scholarship Committee.
