802 Credit Union selects COCC as core technology provider

COCC is excited to announce its partnership with 802 Credit Union as their new core technology provider. A $357 million-asset credit union headquartered in Barre, Vermont, 802 Credit Union serves its members with nine branches throughout the state. 802 Credit Union formed as the result of a merger between River Valley Credit Union and Members Advantage Community Credit Union in the Fall of 2020. The Credit Union selected COCC as its core technology partner of the future due to its next generation technology, seamless growth opportunities and its collaborative service approach.

“In our search for a core provider we were looking for a platform that could sustain our future growth,” said Stacey Benoit, Chief Operating Officer at 802 Credit Union. “The level of integration that COCC offers was very appealing and will aid in our future development by allowing us to spend more time working directly with our members.”

The innovative technology and flexible support that COCC offers appealed to the Credit Union. “We are excited for the enhanced future growth that COCC’s numerous technology offerings will provide,” said Sean Gammon, Chief Executive Officer of 802 Credit Union. “The fact that this support will be nearby in the Northeast was particularly favorable.”

In its search for a new core partner, 802 Credit Union found that COCC offers a variety of capabilities and features in digital banking that will help expand the tools available for its members to manage their finances. The Credit Union also noted a similar focus on client service in COCC. This shared value, along with COCC’s cooperative structure, provides a strong foundation for a lasting partnership between the two companies.

Richard A. Leone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at COCC, is proud to have 802 Credit Union join the Cooperative. “COCC is thrilled to partner with 802 Credit Union as their new core technology provider,” Mr. Leone noted. “802 Credit Union’s dedication to their members is exceptional and we look forward to providing the technology to support this mission for years to come.”
