Achieva Credit Union has promoted David Oak to Senior Vice President of Marketing, effective April 2. In his new role, Oak will report directly to Achieva President and CEO Gary Regoli.
The promotion was a popular decision, according to Regoli. “Under David’s leadership our exceptional marketing team has performed beyond expectations,” said Regoli. “The other SVPs and the Board of Directors wholeheartedly support this move, and I look forward to having David’s work among my direct reports.” Oak has been Vice President of Marketing and Learning Development since joining Achieva three years ago.
A native of the United Kingdom, Oak was educated at colleges in London and developed experience in marketing and sales in the UK before coming to the United States in 1999. His career has primarily been in marketing and business development, where he has been responsible for brand development and channel strategy for an assortment of growing businesses in both the UK and US. He has led creative design teams in product development, managed sales teams and built marketing strategies.
Since his arrival at Achieva, Oak has built the marketing department into a comprehensive organization that reaches the credit union’s audiences across the full range of communications channels, including television, radio, print, digital, social media and through strategic partnerships. He also led a move for Achieva to assert direct decision-making over marketing strategies, such as media buys.
“We are constantly looking for new and exciting ways to present our brand to consumers, and I am excited about the future and Achieva’s continued growth” Oak said.
