Advantage One Credit Union celebrates 70th anniversary

BROWNSTOWN, MI (February 1, 2022) — Advantage One Credit Union is celebrating 70 years of serving the Downriver community and its members. Federally chartered in 1952, as McLouth Employees Federal Credit Union, founding members realized that they could help each other achieve more together than they could on their own. The mentality of people helping people, has remained a core philosophy all these years later.

“Our longevity and continued success are a credit to a team of hard-working, dedicated employees and volunteers and our members who remain supportive and loyal to Advantage One. We appreciate that our members have multiple choices when it comes to financial services, and we honor our trust and commitment to them and to the communities we serve in everything we do. We are seventy years
young and stronger than ever- with many exciting enhancements planned this year. If someone has not yet given us a chance, I encourage them to give us a closer look.” said Chris Corkery, CEO of Advantage One.

To celebrate, Advantage One will be having giveaways, promotions, and special lobby events for members throughout the year. They will also be performing 70 Random Acts of Kindness throughout the community, with the first being thank you bags for the Brownstown Twp. Police Department (through Woodhaven Kiwanis) and goody bags for the Brownstown Daddy/Daughter Dance.
