Advantis Credit Union Hires Seasoned Credit Union Exec as VP of Member Services

PORTLAND, OR (May 23, 2013) Advantis Credit Union has recently hired Griff O’Brien to the position of Vice President of Member Services. O’Brien will oversee the retail sales and service strategies for the branch network and contact center.

Mr. O’Brien brings over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including positions with three of the nation’s largest banks and two of Oregon’s largest credit unions.

Griff O’Brien has lived in Oregon for 24 years. Prior to joining Advantis, Mr. O’Brien held key management positions including Vice President of Sales at U.S. Bank and Regional Manager with First Tech Credit Union. He has extensive experience in branch management including positions with The Bank of New York and Key Bank.

Mr. O’Brien holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of the State of New York and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Griff has served on the board of the Cultural Arts Commission in Sherwood and the Salvation Army Advisory Board.
