Allegacy hires DeSalvo as senior vice president
Allegacy Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in North Carolina, announced that Karen DeSalvo has joined the credit union serving as senior vice president of digital and retail banking.
DeSalvo has over 20 years’ financial executive management experience and has spearheaded strategies that integrate data and technology to enhance consumer experiences. In her role at Allegacy, she is responsible for developing and driving a comprehensive digital and retail banking strategy for Allegacy’s operations and will directly oversee the leadership of the financial centers, contact center, digital delivery, and ATM/ITM/Mail functions.
“Karen brings a wealth of experience to Allegacy and we are excited about the opportunities to enhance the retail and digital delivery experience for Allegacy members,” said Ashley Kohlrus, Allegacy chief operations officer. “Her expertise aligns perfectly with Allegacy’s commitment to providing a high-tech, high-touch member-centric experience and operational excellence.”
DeSalvo earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University. She was a 2018 Triad Business Journal Women in Business Honoree and is currently serving as the membership chairwoman for the Novant Health Foundation Forsyth Medical Center Women’s Council and as a member of the executive leadership team for the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
