American Heritage Credit Union collaborates with Arbor Day Foundation to plant 7,000 trees in honor of credit union’s 70th anniversary

In honor of Arbor Day 2018, American Heritage Credit Union is pleased to announce a collaboration with Arbor Day Foundation to help replenish 7,000 trees in hurricane and fire recovery areas around the country.

“Over the last year, we’ve seen so many parts of our country damaged by hurricanes and fires,” stated Bruce Foulke, CEO of American Heritage Credit Union. “Throughout 2018, we have been celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of American Heritage Credit Union by giving back to both our local and global community with our 70 Acts of Celebration initiative. Through that initiative, we’re excited about our partnership with Arbor Day Foundation, which will plant 7,000 new trees in hurricane and fire recovery areas around the country, including areas that are still rebuilding such as Puerto Rico, California and Texas.”

“Research shows that trees provide critical social and environmental benefits,” stated Foulke. “They help clean the air and beautify neighborhoods, and just as importantly, research provides evidence of improved health and developmental benefits for children who spend regular time in natural settings. The mission of American Heritage Credit Union is to enhance the lives of both our members and the communities we serve. On behalf of the members of our credit union, we are pleased to provide these trees to our fellow Americans.”

“We are thankful to American Heritage for partnering with us to bring tree canopy back to areas devastated by natural disaster,” said Dan Lambe, President of the Arbor Day Foundation. “Not only do the trees have environmental benefits, that also help replenish the lost beauty of the areas and provide people with a sense of healing.”
