Argent Credit Union Awards $5,000 in Scholarships
CHESTERFIELD, VA (May 6, 2013) Argent Credit Union awarded two $2,500 Ruby A. Robinson Scholarships to deserving young credit union members for academic, leadership and community involvement achievement.
The two recipients are Michael Shearin and Hannah Spencer.
Michael Shearin attends Powhatan High School and plans to attend John Tyler Community College followed by Virginia Commonwealth University where he will study Pharmacology.
Hannah Spencer attends the Mathematics and Science High School at Clover Hill. Hannah will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall where she will study Biology and plans a career in the medical field.
The Credit Union’s scholarships have been designed to commemorate 30 years Ruby A. Robinson dedicated to the Credit Union as one of the first employees. Argent Credit Union has awarded a total of $134,000 in scholarships since the program’s inception in 1993.
