Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union Board of Director Member Passes

DALEVILLE, AL (April 24, 2013) —Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union Board of Director Member Roger Turnquist, has passed away. Mr. Turnquist was 99 years old and still an active board member at the time of his passing. He had a long career of service spanning over 35 years with AACFCU and his community. He served 21 years on AACFCU’s Board of Directors. Mr. Turnquist began his volunteer service in 1978 with Mobile Security Federal Credit Union. He served 14 years on that board, and when AACFCU merged with Mobile Security Federal Credit Union, he joined AACFCU’s supervisory committee. He acted as the liaison between Little Flower Federal Credit Union and AACFCU that resulted in a merger in April 2005.  He has worked with the CUNA Volunteer Achievement Program and attended various credit union conferences and seminars spanning his 35 years of volunteering.  He will be greatly missed by the Board of Directors, management and staff of AACFCU. Mr. Turnquist is survived by his wife, Wilma, and son, Phillip. We extend our condolences to his family.
