CrossState Credit Union Association has awarded Michael Kaczenski, President & CEO of Sun East FCU, with the William W. Pratt Lifetime Achievement Award for the 2022 Credit Union Professional of the Year. Kaczenski accepted the award on May 23, 2022, at the Association's 3rd Annual Convention.
Kaczenski has been with Sun East FCU since 1987 and served as the credit union’s President & CEO since 2002. He’s a regular at CrossState’s Annual Convention, Fall Leadership Conference, Executive Forum, and more. He’s also President and a Board Member of the Delaware County Chapter of Credit Unions and served on the former PCUA Board for nearly a decade, including two years as Board Chair, as well as a year spent on the Foundation Board.
In addition to his duties at Sun East, Mike has shown his dedication to the credit union movement through his 36 years of service. Of particular note from his career was the work he put into launching the iBelong Campaign to the benefit of credit unions everywhere.

The Professional of the Year Award is presented in memory of William W. Pratt, who for more than three decades worked on behalf of credit unions. When Pratt began working at the Association in 1942, there were 550 credit unions in Pennsylvania – when he retired in 1965, there were nearly 1,300 credit unions in the Commonwealth.
