Aurora Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the addition of Sarah Henderson as new Vice President of Finance. In this capacity, Henderson will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance functions for the credit union, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulatory standards and timely financial reporting.
Before joining Aurora Federal Credit Union, Henderson served as Vice President of Accounting and Deposit Operations at Blue Federal Credit Union. She previously had more than 26 years of experience with Aventa Credit Union, including serving as Chief Financial Officer, before merging with Blue Federal Credit Union. Henderson is a Certified Credit Union Executive through Western Credit Union Management School. She is also a graduated magna cum laude in Accounting from Regis University.

Aurora Federal Credit Union President and CEO, Charlie Watts, counts this as one of the many exciting developments for the company including opening a new branch in southeast Aurora in 2026, leasing space to the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, and completing a drive-up expansion project at their main branch.
