Bay Federal Credit Union has promoted Ryan Lemere to the position of Cloud Solutions Architect within its Technology Department.
In his new role, Mr. Lemere, who was hired as a Network Engineer in 2018, will help lead the Credit Union in its continued transition to private and secure cloud-based systems.
“One of the great things about working at Bay Federal is the transparency,” Mr. Lemere said. “Developers, support teams, systems — at larger corporations, those groups may never talk to each other. Here, we’re always on the same page.”
Mr. Lemere, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, is also well-versed in Cisco, virtualization, networking, and storage. By managing the Credit Union’s migration to private/secure cloud(s), including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, he will enable the Credit Union’s systems to run in an even more efficient, affordable, and dependable manner.
Prior to coming to the Credit Union, Mr. Lemere worked in network administration for Communication Service Corporation and as a Sonar Electronics Technician for the US Navy.
He relocated to Santa Cruz after his time in the service and studied computer science at Cabrillo College in Aptos.
