Be heard: File your RBC Comment letter at the Credit Union Voices’ GAC booth

(March 6, 2015) —  Is RBC #2 on track or still wrongheaded? Learn more and decide for yourself

WHEN:  March 8-10 during CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference
WHAT: Opportunity to review crowdsourced analyses and opinions about NCUA’s revised proposed RBC rule and easily submit comment letters via computers that link directly to NCUA’s comment page.
WHERE: GAC Exhibit Hall, Booth #162 – (Click here for schedule)
WHY: The proposed risk-based capital rule is complex, intrusive and overreaching; it would mandate a single, uniform standard for evaluating the risk of each asset in a credit union’s portfolio. Time is growing short; the clock is counting down to the April 27 comment deadline.
WHO: Credit Union Voices – an open group of credit union organizations, service providers and leaders – is bringing attention to critical issues affecting the industry. We seek to provide information and education that encourage the credit union community to speak up on behalf of the 100 million-plus people who rely on their financial cooperatives for affordable loans, fair-market savings rates, and other cost-effective financial products services from the institution they own.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Any credit union, trade organization, media outlet, regulator, legislator or other supporter is welcome to participate in this grassroots effort to ensure balanced, reasonable regulation. Visit Credit Union Voices to read comment letters that have already been filed or learned more from industry crowdsourced information.

Members of the media and others serving the credit union community are invited to participate by visiting GAC Exhibit Hall Booth #162 or the Credit Union Voices website.
