Belvoir Federal’s CEO Reelected as Chair to Serve another Term for DCUC

WOODBRIDGE, VA (September 6, 2013) — In 2013, the Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) marked their 50th anniversary of being a separate and distinct trade association that serves as the primary liaison to the Pentagon for credit unions operating on military bases worldwide.

Patricia Kimmel, CEO of Belvoir Federal Credit Union and Army representative on the DCUC Board, was reelected to serve another year term as Chairman. “Being elected for a second term as Chair of the DCUC is a great honor. I am grateful for this opportunity and hope to continue making a difference for all credit unions serving members around the world,” stated Patricia Kimmel.

In Patricia’s previous term during 2012, she helped to maintain the integrity, understanding, and unselfishness that is required for optimum service to the military and civilian members dedicated to carrying out the Council’s motto of ‘Serving Those Who Serve Our Country.’

The DCUC is a niche membership association representing the interests of credit unions operating on military installations worldwide since 1963. By maintaining a close and constant liaison with the Pentagon, the Council supports its member credit unions and the Department of Defense (DoD), which is comprised of 210 credit unions with over 18 million members.
