BluCurrent Receives National Graphic Design Award
SPRINGFIELD, MO (June 25, 2013) BluCurrent Credit Union was recently selected as a winner of the 2013 American Inhouse Design Awards competition by Graphic Design USA, honoring outstanding work in in-house graphic design.
GDUSA is one of the nation’s most prominent and recognized magazines for graphic designers and other creative professionals. Every year, they provide a unique opportunity for in-house designers to be recognized for their talent and contributions to their businesses. Awards are given in 16 categories ranging from Annual Reports to Sales Promotion.
BluCurrent, who was chosen from more than 4,000 entries nationwide, received their award in the Direct Mail & Direct Response category for their Checking Account Introduction Postcards. These postcards were mailed to those living in certain zip codes in the Springfield area as a way to promote their new line of checking accounts.
Jenny Reynolds, Vice President of Marketing Services for BluCurrent, was responsible for the design of the postcard.
“When we decided to scrap our old checking accounts and revamp them, our goal was to offer options that were completely different and new to the area,” states Reynolds. “Offering benefits like ATM fee refunds and Amazon & iTunes credits – those are perks people want to take advantage of and tell people about. With the postcard, I wanted to reflect that same excitement with a bright and youthful feel.”
BluCurrent’s entry, along with the other winners from the 2013 awards, will be featured in a printed version of the Inhouse Design Annual, published online in the Inhouse Online Design Annual and displayed on the Graphic Design USA iPad® app.
