Bonita Vista High School wins SDCCU high school performance by one of today’s hottest up-and-coming artists
In Real Life to perform at winning local high school
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 11, 2018) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, and Channel 933 teamed up to give students at Bonita Vista High School an unforgettable day! As part of the SDCCU High School Takeover, Bonita Vista High School won a private performance from one of today’s hottest emerging recording artists, In Real Life!
Students entered a sweepstakes on Instagram for a chance to win a private performance with In Real Life, who’s current single “Tattoo (How ‘Bout You)” is an infectious hit currently at #36 in the Top 40 radio charts. They’re touring the first half of the American Idol Live tour this summer and have recently performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America, Live with Kelly & Ryan, TRL and Despierta America. The band won the ABC summer reality competition show “Boy Band” and debuted their first single “Eyes Closed” on the finale after being voted by viewers.
In Real Life is also slated to perform on May 11 at the Channel 933 Summer Kickoff Concert, sponsored by SDCCU®. In addition to the performance, SDCCU is giving the winning school a $1,000 award!
In previous school spirit contests, Hoover High School won a performance by Alex Aiono, San Marcos High School won a performance by Zara Larsson, Mira Mesa High School won a performance by Echosmith and a second performance by Alessia Cara, and Scripps Ranch High School won a private performance by Tori Kelly.
