On Saturday, August 11, 2018, at approximately 1:00 pm, a man wearing a motorcycle helmet, walked into the Global Coeur d'Alene branch and opened fire. This occurred just prior to the branch closing and the security guard immediately jumped into action. The shooter is now in custody. No one at the branch was injured.
Information is still awaited on this incident and more details will be released at a later time.
