Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union Hosts Free Shred Event

COLUMBIA, SC (May 8, 2013) Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union will be hosting a free shred event on Friday May 10th, 2013. The event will take place from 3pm – 5pm at the Carolina Collegiate branch located at 710 Pulaski St, Columbia SC. While the shred event is free, those wishing to shred documents are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food items to be collected for Harvest Hope.

“You need not be a member to take advantage of this event” said Helen Powell, Vice President of Business Development for Carolina Collegiate FCU. “This event is open to everyone free of charge” Powell said.

Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative open to staff, students, and faculty of the University of South Carolina and several other groups and universities. Founded in 1967 by employees of the University of South Carolina, today the credit union has over 15,000 members and assets of over $88 million.
