CCCU and CUES International Convention Set to Return in 2013

Madison, WI – The Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU) and the Credit Union Executives Society are once again collaborating to offer an enhanced leadership education opportunity with a global perspective.

The second annual CCCU and CUES International Convention, June 22-25, 2013, at the Riu Plaza Panama, in Panama City, Panama, will give industry leaders the opportunity to network with a worldwide community of colleagues. Content will focus on ways to:

– Leverage the competitive advantage of cooperatives

– Collaborate to improve efficiency and profitability

– Fire up employee engagement and productivity

– Build up the international credit union movement and communicate its value

The opening keynote speaker is Dr. Jackie Freiberg, bestselling author, leadership, innovation and SheEconomy expert, San Diego. Her topic, Innovate or Perish!, will examine ways leadership can inspire, as well as an exploration how credit unions can better take advantage of the SheEconomy.

CUES represents members from 13 countries; CCCU has affiliates in 17 countries.

In addition to the development of CCCU and CUES International Convention, CUES has reached other international milestones recently. The Brazilian movement is sending its first-ever attendee to CUES’ CEO Institute. CUES has also recently become a World Council of Credit Unions Associate Member.
