CCFCU 1st Annual Giving Tree donations to benefit local food pantries
FALMOUTH, ME (March 4, 2022) — Through its 1st Annual Giving Tree program to help local food pantries with the ongoing need for assistance, Cumberland County Federal Credit Union raised $1,913.36. Along with additional funds raised throughout the year for Ending Hunger, a total of $9,178.36 was divided among six local community food pantries. Mini trees were in each of the CCFCU branches and Operations Center during the months of November and December. You could make a monetary donation of any amount or non-perishable food item.
“The generosity of our members and employees continues to amaze me,” said Scott Harriman, President & CEO at CCFCU. “We have certainly been through another difficult year and yet our community still came together to help neighbors in need. I want to thank everyone for continuing to support our fundraising efforts.” The recipients of the fundraiser were the Falmouth Food Pantry, Gray Community Food Pantry, Preble Street in Portland, Westbrook Food Pantry, Windham Food Pantry, and the Yarmouth Food Pantry.
