Central Minnesota Credit Union announces new President/Chief Executive Officer
MELROSE, MN (July 10, 2019) — Central Minnesota Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Charles Friederichs as the credit union’s new President/Chief Executive Officer.

After conducting an extensive nationwide search we are more confident than ever that he is the best individual to lead Central Minnesota Credit Union. We look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of the credit union under his leadership,” said Mark Meyer, Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
Friederichs has been with Central Minnesota Credit Union for over eleven years and served as interim CEO since October 2018. Before his appointment as interim CEO, Friederichs was Chief Operations Officer for almost five years, following his role as Chief Financial Officer for six years prior. Friederichs has an extensive career within the financial services industry spanning almost 30 years. He first joined the credit union movement in 2008 when he made the move to Central Minnesota Credit Union from The Fauquier Bank where he held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He also held roles in information technology at MetaBank and First Federal Savings Bank of the Midwest following ten years as an examiner for the FDIC. Friederichs holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota.
When asked about his promotion to President/Chief Executive Officer, Charles stated, “To say I am honored is an understatement. I have spent the past 11 years preparing for this opportunity and I am humbled the Board has placed their confidence in me to lead this organization and continue serving the membership and the community at Central Minnesota Credit Union.”
