This January, Valencia College will recognize Linh Dang, CFE Federal Credit Union’s Chief Development Officer, with the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award. Linh was selected for the award because of her career accomplishments and contributions to the community since she first graduated from the College in 1990.
Since 2003, Linh has held several leadership roles at CFE, managing a variety of departments and initiatives. Linh currently oversees the credit union’s Community Engagement & Partnerships, Leadership & Talent Development, Marketing, and Project Management departments. Through her role, Linh introduced CFE’s high school branch program in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties, which has expanded to nine high schools over the past 10 years. Under her leadership, Linh’s teams have also created several programs to strengthen company culture, improve training and product knowledge, and roll out new products that better serve CFE’s membership. In addition, Linh also led CFE’s first ever Renovate to Educate contest, teaming up with Seminole State College’s Interior Design program to renovate three local teachers’ classrooms in time for the 2018-2019 school year.
Linh was recently recognized in the Orlando Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards as a Business Executive of the Year. She also serves as a board member for the UCF Alumni Board, Valencia Foundation Board, Junior Achievement of Central Florida, and Heart to Heart of Central Florida, and works in a variety of other advisory board roles within the Central Florida community.
