Chiphone Federal Credit Union’s Ron Mazur inducted into Indiana Credit Union Hall of Fame

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 8, 2013) — Ronald H. Mazur, CEO of Chiphone Federal Credit Union was inducted into the Indiana Credit Union Hall of Fame during the Indiana Credit Union League’s statewide Convention. He was honored at the Chairman’s Awards Banquet at the JW Marriott Hotel on Sept. 27.

Mazur’s career has spanned more than 40 years during which time he served credit unions in a number of capacities. He was on the board of directors of the Indiana Credit Union League from 2006-2012 and is a past League Chairman. He has been an active participant on several league committees, most notably as chairman of the Convention Committee. Mazur was also a charter member of the Indiana shared branching board, then known as Credit Union Centers of North Central Indiana. He continued his board service over a 17-year period. Over the years, the group has merged and grown to become the statewide organization that is known today as Credit Union Centers. It has the largest financial services branch network in Indiana.

Outside the credit union, Mazur has been a director on both the Lake County and Elkhart County Consumer Credit Counseling Boards, and he has served on the board of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit in Washington, D.C. He has been a board member of the Elkhart County Red Cross and has volunteered for 15 years for the Concord Youth Soccer League.
