Chris Jacobs joins Arbor Financial as Vice President of Consumer Lending

KALAMAZOO, MI (November 27, 2019) — Arbor Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Jacobs as the organization’s Vice President of Consumer Lending. Jacobs comes to Arbor Financial with over 15 years of experience in the financial industry in the lending and operations areas, along with a master’s degree from Spring Arbor University.

As Vice President of Consumer Lending, Jacobs was drawn to Arbor Financial because of their strong reputation and robust lending program. Jacobs’ focus on providing an excellent member experience fits well with Arbor’s culture. Jacob states, “I think one of the best things we can do for our members is to make the loan process easy and more accessible. Arbor Financial places a focus on training and technology to serve members no matter their preference, whether that be in person, by phone or online.”

A familiar face in the credit union industry, Jacobs says that Arbor Financial instantly felt like home for him, and is happy to be part of a team that is passionate about taking care of the member. Jacobs also commented on the refreshing culture he has seen already since joining the team, stating that he sees the evidence of Arbor’s Core Values of working together, doing the right thing, and having fun every day. “We have a fantastic Consumer Loan team that has a tremendous amount of lending experience, and I am thrilled to work with them,” states Jacobs.
