Christian Community Credit Union partners with Asian access to offer $10,000 matching gift fund for Nepal earthquake relief

(May 18, 2015) — In response to the multiple earthquakes in Nepal, Christian Community Credit Union is partnering with Asian Access to offer a $10,000 matching gift fund for Nepal earthquake relief. The matching offer ends June 30, 2015 or when the match has been met. The funds for this donation come from the Credit Union’s “Cards That Give to Missions”program, in which a portion of the Credit Union’s interchange income (fees merchants pay to card issuers) is donated when cardholders use their Credit Union-issued credit cards for purchases.

“It is humbling to know that Christian Community Credit Union stands beside us in times like this. We are deeply grateful for their partnership with us in ministry,” said Joe Handley, President of Asian Access. “Now, we have the opportunity to bring the hope of Christ to the people of Nepal thanks to Christian Community Credit Union’s generosity.”

“We continue to pray for the people of Nepal,” said John Walling, Christian Community Credit Union President/CEO. “We’re proud to partner with Asian Access as they offer desperately-needed relief to survivors through their network of churches in Nepal.”
