Clark County Credit Union (CCCU) has earned the 2022 America Saves Designation of Savings Excellence award, an honor explicitly reserved for financial institutions that created measurable impact and displayed exceptional achievement during the annual America Saves Week campaign.
In its first year participating, CCCU is one of only seven credit unions and six banks honored with this distinction out of nearly 3,100 organizations participating in America Saves Week, which took place February 21- 25, 2022.
“As we continue to experience rising costs and interest rates due to unprecedented inflation, we know that it will take extraordinary measures and support from organizations and companies to help everyday Americans rebound from the pandemic and build financial resilience,” said Kia McCallister-Young, Director of America Saves.
The work of these financial institutions contributed to an impressive collective impact. During the one-week timeframe, these financial institutions helped to encourage nearly 415,000 individuals to deposit $1,134,122,355.00 into new and existing savings accounts and establish automatic savings.
“At CCCU, our mission is to help our members reach their financial goals and dreams,” said President and CEO Matt Kershaw. “Saving for future opportunities and being ready for unexpected expenses is a key part to reaching those goals; our participation with America Saves Week helped us to share this message with our membership and community.”
