Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s Employees Man The Phones For Hope In Oklahoma

SCHENECTADY, NY (June 2, 2013) Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s employees answered phones during CBS6’s Hope in Oklahoma telethon on Thursday, May 30.  The telethon raised $10,280 in credit card donations for tornado victims in Oklahoma, which were distributed to the Red Cross on May 31, 2013. There were also $2,140 in check donations that were combined with donations CBS 6 collected the week of May 26th and that will be matched up to $50,000 by CBS6’s parent company, Sinclair Broadcast Group.

“Community Resource Federal Credit Union, and credit unions in general, value family and community.  The families in the community of Moore, Oklahoma suffered a devastating loss and volunteering to work the phone bank was an effective way to help them,” said Betsy Kindlon, CEO.  “I’d like to thank the people of the capital district for calling in generous with their donations,” she added.
