Credit Union employees beautify local park

American First Credit Union helped beautify and restore William Peak Park located in the City of Buena Park as part of its community service day. With a group of 105 volunteersworking together for one cause, Credit Union associates fanned out at the park to pick up trash, plant flowers, trim bushes, paint over graffiti, fill holes in the baseball diamond, andrefresh a skate park. American First Credit Union sought to partner with a local organization to carry the credit union legacy of “people helping people.”

“We call it Caring First because whether its caring for our community, caring for our members, or caring for each other, we can count on our associates,” said Jon Shigematsu,President/CEO of American First Credit Union, who participatedin the park clean-up day. “We’re thankful and honored to have worked with the City of Buena Park and its exceptional staff to allow our team to make a difference in our local community,” remarked Shigematsu.
