Credit union spreads kindness and gratitude

Kindness and gratitude mean a great deal to healthcare workers on the front line. In July, TruMark Financial® Credit Union created the nursing home project to recognize the healthcare professionals who tirelessly care for their patients. While many nursing home facilities’ doors still remain closed to visitors, staff members not only care for the patients’ medical needs but are their link to the outside world. Whether it’s calling a patient’s family on the phone or connecting via FaceTime, the staff are everyday heroes.

To express its gratitude, the credit union sent trays of breakfast goodies from local bakeries and eateries to nursing facilities in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. The initiative is two-fold. While acknowledging essential employees, the credit union also is supporting small businesses that are struggling during the pandemic. More than 750 essential workers enjoyed the breakfast treats.

“Our heroes on the front lines care for our loved ones daily while family members still cannot visit them. We salute their courage, dedication, and resilience and are eternally grateful,” said TruMark Financial’s Chief Executive Officer Richard F. Stipa.
