CUES Announces 2013 Outstanding Chief Executive and Hall of Fame Inductee

MADISON, WI (August 29, 2013) — The Credit Union Executives Society is pleased to announce Kent Oram, CSE, CCE, CEO, Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU), Pocatello, Idaho, as the 2013 CUES Outstanding Chief Executive. Oram will be honored at CUES’ CEO/Executive Team Network™, on Sunday, November 3, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, in San Diego.

Under Oram’s leadership, ICCU has become one of the fastest growing credit unions in the country; it saw a 122.11% overall increase in assets from Oram’s start in September 2007 to the end of April, 2013. ICCU has continued to grow loans and deposits, while keeping delinquency low.

Oram also placed an emphasis on making ICCU an employer of choice, improving the workplace culture and environment. Due to his efforts, ICCU was named a Best Place to Work in Idaho in 2012, and won first place for the award in 2013.

CUES will also honor CUES Hall of Fame inductee Lary B. McCants, CCD, CCE, president/CEO, IBM Southeast Employees’ Federal Credit Union, Boca Raton, Fla., and long-time CUES board member.

CUES Outstanding Chief Executive award recognizes exceptional leaders who display professional achievement, employee motivation and dedication to the community. CUES Hall of Fame inductees are nominated by the CUES Board of Directors for lifetime achievement and are recognized annually for their contributions to their profession and the industry.
