CUES Recognizes 2013 CEO Institute Graduates

MADISON, WI (June 5, 2013) The Credit Union Executives Society is pleased to recognize 28 credit union executives who recently completed all three years of its prestigious executive education program, CEO Institute. In addition, 18 of the graduates earned their Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation, signifying their ongoing commitment to professional development. They join the ranks of 468 credit union leaders who have also obtained their CCE, and who are recognized throughout the credit union movement as having established a standard of educational excellence.

This three-part graduate-level program takes participants through the full spectrum of leadership preparation. Each of the intensive, week-long programs is held at a renowned business school: CEO Institute I: Strategic Planning at the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, Philadelphia; CEO Institute II: Organizational Effectiveness at Cornell University, Johnson Graduate School of Management, Ithaca, N.Y.; and CEO Institute III: Strategic Leadership Development at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business, Charlottesville, Va.

In 2013, all three weeks of the program reached capacity, resulting in the need to start a waiting list for registrants, so early registration is recommended for 2014.

“Attendance numbers at this year’s CEO Institute were the largest in the program’s history, and with good reason,” said Chuck Fagan, CUES’ president/CEO. “After attending CEO Institute I myself this year, I can say with certainty the program is a stand-out. And, when you consider that of the 900 people who have attended CEO Institute in the past, 60 percent have gone on to become CEOs, there’s no doubt this is a must-attend event for credit union leaders.”
