CUInsight, the leading digital trade publication serving the credit union industry, is excited to announce its in-kind donation of $25,000 to the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC).
This donation will support AACUC’s mission of supporting programs that offer benefits for African-American and diverse credit union professionals and volunteers, credit unions, and credit union vendor partners.
The African-American Credit Union Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of professionals and volunteers in the credit union industry. In 2022, the AACUC was presented an Anchor Award by the National Credit Union Foundation in recognition of its global efforts to unite financial industries in eradicating racism. The organization offers programs that include increasing the involvement of minorities in the credit union movement and also promotes the benefit of mentoring, education, and outreach of the movement in the United States and abroad.
“The African-American Credit Union Coalition is an integral part of our industry, providing critical leadership around diversity, equity, inclusion, and much more, to the entire credit union ecosystem,” said Lauren Culp, CUInsight’s Publisher & CEO. “We at CUInsight so appreciate the opportunity to learn from and support AACUC and the important work they do for our industry.”
President & CEO of AACUC, Renée Sattiewhite says, “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with CUInsight. Together, and with the support of all of our partners and members, we can continue the forward momentum of our Commitment to Change Initiative, grow our advocacy for financial inclusion, and foster community involvement. We are on a mission to lead the nation in restoring the economic integrity of the United States.”
CUInsight is honored to support AACUC’s goal of eradicating racism and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) among credit union leadership and membership while maintaining their commitment to the movement. More information on AACUC can be found here.
