Cybersecurity, predictive analytics headline TMG 2016 Executive Summit

Investigative reporter Brian Krebs and predictive analytics expert Eric Siegel, Ph.D., provide keynote addresses for TMG clients, partners, sponsors and staff

DES MOINES, IA (June 7, 2016) — Payments processor TMG has released the agenda for its 2016 TMG Executive Summit. The three-day event will take place June 27-29 in Nashville, Tenn., and will include presentations on hot-button topics for financial institutions, including innovation, cybersecurity, data analytics and the future of payments.

Music City is a new destination for the TMG Executive Summit, now in its 10th year. According to TMG Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy Georgann Smith, Nashville was chosen for the unique blend of history and ingenuity that make the city legendary.

“Our annual event aims to immerse TMG’s clients, partners, sponsors and staff in a creative environment that allows for an eye-opening exploration of the future,” said Smith. “Nashville provides the ideal backdrop for considering the possibilities while also celebrating our clients’ rich history of improving the financial lives of consumers.”

On Tuesday, June 28, predictive analytics expert and author Eric Siegel, Ph.D., will give the first of two keynote addresses for the event. Siegel wrote the best-selling book Predictive Analytics: The Power to Predict Who Will Click, Buy, Lie or Die, and is the founder of the conference series Predictive Analytics World. He will demonstrate how studying trendsetters like Facebook, Google, Target and Uber provides insights into the power of leveraging big data to predict human behavior.

Following Siegel, four TMG experts will take the stage to provide quick-hitting presentations on key issues impacting the financial services industry.

To close out the first day of sessions, Soren Kaplan, a leading expert in disruptive innovation, will talk about the power of innovation culture. Audiences will learn how strategic change helped organizations including Disney, Kimberly-Clark and Hershey achieve business breakthroughs.

The next day’s keynote address will be given by world-renowned investigative reporter Brian Krebs. The personality behind the popular Krebs on Security blog, Krebs will provide an in-depth look at the current cybersecurity environment. He will share developing threats facing global financial institutions and the consumers they serve, as well as take participants inside the minds of the world’s most cunning cybercriminals.

Following Krebs, international speaker, success coach and best-selling author Mitch Matthews will present a two-part session on leadership. He promises to show audiences how to perform at higher levels, develop better solutions and have more fun in the process.

Next on the agenda is an innovation case study. The session will be led by Ernie Garcia, founder of tech start-up Carvana, which was named one of America’s 20 Most Promising Companies by Forbes in 2015. The brief presentation is designed to illustrate how innovation moves from theory to practice.

The event’s final session will be a panel of experts discussing the future of payments. Participants will come away with insights on what’s next in payments innovation. They’ll also discover ways to deepen consumer relationships, boost profitability, grow their payment portfolios and reimagine banking for a new kind of consumer.

TMG has planned a number of activities outside the conference walls for participants to experience the excitement of Nashville. Before the sessions begin, TMG’s guests will be offered a chance to participate in a “Star for a Day” music tour of RCA Studio B, a drive through Centennial Park or a Tennessee whiskey tour. In addition, TMG will treat Executive Summit guests to receptions at the famous Country Music Hall of Fame, the iconic Wildhorse Saloon and the historic Belle Meade Plantation.
