October 17 “Eat Local” Event to Benefit Children’s Hospitals

KETTERING, OH (October 11, 2013) — Day Air Credit Union, in conjunction with the Ohio Credit Union League, is partnering with local food trucks on October 17 for International Credit Union Day. Each year, credit unions celebrate their “people helping people” philosophy by hosting events at thousands of credit unions nationwide.

This year’s theme in Ohio is “Eat Local.” Day Air will be hosting the Mohawk Freestyle Grill food truck at their York Commons Branch location, and the Horseless Buggy Eatery food truck at their Kettering Branch location. The event will run from 11:00 am to 2:00 PM. Mohawk Freestyle Grill & the Horseless Buggy Eatery will donate 10% of their profits to Marching Miles for Miracle Kids, which benefits the nine Children’s Hospitals serving Ohioans. Day Air Credit Union will be matching the funds raised by the trucks for Marching Miles.
