Day Air Credit Union’s Business Development Manager, Bettina Buscemi, recognized for 15 years of service as the Board Secretary for YES! For Youth
KETTERING, OH (December 17, 2018) — Day Air Credit Union is excited to announce that their Business Development Manager, Bettina Buscemi, was recognized for 15 years of service as the Board Secretary for YES! For Youth at their Annual Leadership conference on November 13, 2018.
JOG-Miami Valley, doing business as Yes! For Youth, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that is an affiliate of Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates (JOG). These programs utilize the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) comprehensive School-to-Careers transition model, the largest and longest-running program of its kind. JAG programs provide youth with guidance and support through graduation and into entry-level employment with advancement potential or into full-time college or training, in order to assist them to become self-sufficient productive adults.
“I have been honored to be associated with such an important provider of training for the youth of our community,” said Bettina Buscemi, Business Development Manager at Day Air Credit Union. “Watching the youth perform community service and gain leadership and employability skills by participating in the programs YES! For Youth offers has been a great personal joy.”
YES! For Youth has been serving Miami Valley Youth for 15 years by helping them successfully transition from school to their appropriate post-secondary career opportunities. YFY provides the youth a full-time Career Specialist that provides services to Juniors and Seniors as well as those youth working to attain the GED to be job and career-ready.
“Bettina has shown great commitment to our programs and has provided leadership to our Board of Trustees and direction for our Executive Staff,” said John McConnell, Executive Director of YES! For Youth. “She has spent countless hours to improve the lives of the youth we serve.”
