DCU welcomed to Chelmsford, MA at newly opened Operations Center

MARLBOROUGH, MA (August 21, 2018) — Digital Federal Credit Union, better known as DCU, was officially welcomed to Chelmsford, MA at their newly opened Operations Center located at 297 Billerica Road with an official ribbon cutting ceremony attended by town and state officials, local business owners, representatives from local charities that DCU supports, and DCU team members.

This expanded base of operations allows DCU needed space to add to its rapidly growing employee base at its two Marlborough, MA offices, satellite call center in Lowell, MA, and FinTech Innovation Center in Boston, MA. In addition, the Chelmsford Operations Center enables DCU to enhance its workforce by tapping into the Greater Chelmsford area and Southern New Hampshire.

The three-story 129,000-square foot office building was custom designed as the former corporate headquarters for Kronos. The building features numerous collaboration spaces, a state-of-the-art data center, an outdoor grilling and seating area, training rooms, full-service cafeteria, and a fitness center with shower/locker rooms.  DCU is now positioned within one of the premier employment centers of the 495-technology corridor along Route 129 at the crossroads of Route 3 and Route 495. DCU joins several existing industry clusters, including: defense & homeland security, communications & software, life sciences, and analytical instruments.

At nearly 1,200 employees credit union-wide, each DCU team member is grateful to be presented with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of their members. Whatever their financial needs or situation might be, DCU is there to help with personalized advice and innovative products and services — to ensure that all members achieve their respective financial goals.

Currently, the Chelmsford Operations Center houses nearly 150 employees with additional growth expected by year end. The Chelmsford Operations Center is staffed with team members in various departments who handle a wide array of member services, including: account servicing, consumer lending, and mortgage lending.

DCU is one of the fastest growing credit unions in the United States due in large part to the exceptional banking products and services it offers, and most importantly by genuinely caring about the financial well-being of their members and employees. From lending money to a member who is in the process of purchasing their first home to extending a helping hand to those who need it most – that’s just The DCU Way. The DCU Way is comprised of three simple philosophies: people come first, do the right thing, and make a difference.
