Democracy Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Mario Mejia as the credit union’s new Vice President of Delivery Channels.
“The Vice President of Delivery Channels position is a challenging yet vital one and we are thrilled to welcome Mario to the credit union and excited to see what he brings to the role.” said Ken Cahoon, President & CEO.
Mejia comes to Democracy Federal Credit Union from HUD Federal Credit Union in Washington, DC where he held the role of Vice President of Member Experience and Operations Officer. Prior to his time at HUD Federal Credit Union he worked at Interior Federal Credit Union in Washington, DC in the role of Senior Sales and Service Director for five years. Mejia began his financial services career with BB&T where he worked his way up from a Branch Manager to Assistant Vice President between 2006 and 2013. Mejia is working towards his Masters in Business Administration at Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.
When asked about his new position, Mario stated, “I am very excited about the opportunity to join Democracy Federal Credit Union and work with the fantastic team there. I am eager to get started and begin serving the membership.”
