Dennis Kingery joins SDCCU as Senior Vice President of Accounting Operations
Kingery’s extensive experience leading accounting teams for financial institutions enhances SDCCU’s leadership
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 13, 2015) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, is pleased to announce that Dennis Kingery has assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Accounting Operations for SDCCU.

Reporting to SDCCU’s Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Ashlee Micale, Kingery is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of all aspects of the Accounting Operations Department. This includes wire transfers, international remittances, institutional balancing, Federal Reserve Bank daily reconciliation, ATM balancing, cash ordering, accounts payable and general ledger reconciliations.
Kingery came to SDCCU with over 15 years of experience leading accounting operations for organizations, including financial institutions. Before SDCCU, Kingery served as Senior Director of Finance, Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager at Westerra Credit Union in Denver, Colo., where he spent almost seven years. Prior to that, he served as Director of Credit Union Operations at Bretheren Benefit Trust in Elgin, Ill. Kingery also spent time in Nigeria serving as a volunteer teacher.
Other notable activities include Kingery’s participation in the U.S. State Department Professional Fellows Program; Elected Presidency of the Bretheren Leadership Foundation Board of Directors; Treasurer of the McPherson College Board of Trustees; and Treasurer of the Bretheren Employees Credit Union Board of Trustees. Kingery holds a master’s degree in international development from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business finance from McPherson College. Kingery is also a certified public accountant.
