Desert Schools Federal Credit Union Announces New Chief Information Officer
PHOENIX, AZ (February 6, 2013) – Desert Schools Federal Credit Union, the largest not-for-profit membership-based financial institution in the state of Arizona, has named Peter Farrow – an information systems industry veteran – its chief information officer.
Farrow touts more than twenty years of experience in the information systems field with experience in cost effective technology solutions and strategy, making him a natural fit to lead the credit union’s internal and external IT practices.

With a Masters of Science in telecommunications management and a Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, Farrow’s educational background gave him a competitive edge for the role. After beginning as a telecommunications coordinator for Tandem Computers, Inc. in Cupertino, California, he quickly rose through the industry ranks and most recently served as senior vice president and chief information officer for Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas. Farrow joins the team after more than eight years at Randolph Brooks, armed with a practiced understanding of how credit unions operate, making him a natural fit for Desert Schools.
Farrow offered, “I’m happy to be joining the team at Desert Schools and am excited to be working in such a forward-thinking organization and supporting the initiatives of the organization at large.”
Farrow took his post as chief information officer at Desert Schools earlier this month.
