Dover FCU supporting service members and their families

DOVER, DE (December 3, 2018) — The United Service Organization better known as USO is a top military support organization that continually supports military service members, and their families. The commitment that the USO has to US troops worldwide is unrivaled and USO Delaware is a big part of that. With two locations on Dover Air Force Base, the USO has a reputation of “being there” whether that be an airman in need or the family of the fallen. This non-profit plays a big role in Team Dover’s success, and is widely appreciated by the surrounding community.

Thanks to a recent community initiative led by Dover Federal Credit Union employees, $2,614 was raised and donated to the USO Delaware to aid the great work that is being done by them. Donations made by Dover Federal employees were collected over the course of the month of October and then matched dollar for dollar by the credit union. USO Delaware offers multiple programs, including those for emotional wellness, entertainment,holiday celebrations, transitional services, as well as providing a safe haven to local airman in their fully stocked snack and drink lounge.
